Pick up a new RSP album at a show near you. I don’t think they made the latest EP streamable yet at rasputinssecretpolice6666.bandcamp.com.

Honestly I have never given this short four track HAM EP a serious listen. Simple Nick Morrison, Modest Mouse sounding, alternative rock chord progressions are combined with lo-fi late 90’s R&B beats, created solely from garageband piano pre-sets. An unobtrusive record, the simplicity can be surprising. This could be either love making or elevator music; it sets a fine ambiance.
Ham EP is yours to own for a cool $500
apparently i haven’t been paying enough attention to Alex G. two new albums in the last 6 months. he is always expressing a unique style…lofi 70’s art rock revival (reminiscent of ariel pink) with a smokey country residue, which generates a false sense of warmth in dark emptiness? idk. alex’s vocal holds the melancholy of Elliott Smith. this is about as avant-garde as teenage angst can get. but some how the more i listen the more dynamic the album becomes.
most listenable philly garage rock album of 2012 so far.
